Keyes High School for Girls stands as a premier educational institution with a rich and glorious history, deeply rooted in the heart of Secunderabad. Established initially as a primary school in 1881 by the visionary Venu Gopal Pillai, our mission has always been singular and profound: to commit to the cause of imparting knowledge and education to girls.
The school's foundation in its present location was laid in 1930, and it officially began functioning in 1932. We proudly bear the name of Brigadier-General Sir Terence Humphrey Keyes, the then Resident Officer to the Queen, in tribute to his magnanimous effort in securing the land for the school.
For over a century, we have been a cornerstone of girl-child education, transforming the lives of generations of young women.
At Keyes Girls High School, we believe that true education extends beyond the classroom. Our core objective is to equip the girls of our society with knowledge and confidence to navigate a complex world and emerge as responsible, resilient citizens.
We offer a comprehensive educational journey from Nursery to Class 12, following a curriculum designed to strengthen academic foundations. The medium of instruction is English, which is prioritized to ensure our students receive a global standard of education, preparing them for future academic and professional endeavors.
We are dedicated to delivering high-quality education with reasonable and transparent fees, ensuring accessibility for all.
We foster a nurturing environment that champions the all-round development of every student. Our commitment to holistic growth is reflected in a curriculum that balances academic rigor with an emphasis on extracurricular excellence.
Our legacy is visible in the success of our alumni, including Indian cricketer Mithali Raj, who graduated from our school — a testament to the comprehensive grooming and excellence provided by our dedicated faculty.
We are an institution where every voice matters, and every student is supported — socially, emotionally, and academically. We are committed to fostering a strong moral and ethical foundation, ensuring that every girl who walks through our doors leaves prepared to thrive, lead, and contribute meaningfully to the world.
